She is the sister of Francis Erert Mecum (1878-1879), Vivian Mecum (1880-1955), Henry Otto Mecum (1882-1918), Ray Mecum (1887-1892), Phillip Cohen Mecum (1890-1959), Emma Luemma Mecum (1892-1066), Cora Mecum (1895-1942), and twin brothers: Cecil Mecum (1899-1975),l and Eugene Mecum (1899-1981). Ethel's first husband was Prior James Burch (1878-1933). They were married April 2,1903. They divorced before 1930. Between the both of them, they had a son by the name of Loran Burch, on November 7, 1907. He died November 14,1984. Ethel married James Henry Carrington December 7, 1953 in Santa Clara, California.
