She was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Wheatridge, Colo., a daughter of the late Anthony and Beryle Aldridge LaRocco.
She retired from Marietta College working in various roles for administration. Her hobbies included Copper Enamel Artwork and Dichroic jewelry.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Elmer Ray Parsons; two sons, Andrew and Matthew Parsons, both of Parkersburg; two stepsons, Samuel Parsons of Parkersburg and Randall Parsons of Elizabeth; two stepdaughters, Diana Parsons of Parkersburg and Leisa Lehew of Belpre, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Josh Parsons, Jessica McDonald, Siera Blansett, Lyle Ray Parsons, Chris Cronin, Meagan Cronin and Hailey Parsons.
A gathering of friends and family will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Family Center, 601 Avery St., Parkersburg.
