Nelle Preston Oct. 22, 1913 - Feb. 7, 2014 On Feb. 7th we lost a very special lady and Nelle will be missed by all those who knew her. She was a great Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, relative and friend. Nelle recently celebrated her 100th birthday and was proud to be the first in her family to reach 100. She married her husband Alex in 1933 and lived in Sheridan on their farm for 67 years. After retiring from the Sunsweet Co. in 1977, Nelle enjoyed raising a garden, going fishing and camping in the Sierra's and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Taylor; a son, Bill Preston; five grandchildren, Julie Jones (Max); Alfred Taylor (Debbie); Robert Taylor (Ann); Ann Preston and William Preston, Jr.; five great grandchilden; four sisters and one brother. She was predeceased by her husband Alex; daughter Shirley Postell; grandson Donald Postell, Jr. and three brothers. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM with Services at 11:00 AM on February 19, 2014 at the Lincoln Funeral Home, 406 H Street, Lincoln, CA 95648. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the charity of the donor's choice.
