Visitation will take place on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel of Milledgeville. Preceding the funeral service on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 1:00-2:30 p.m., the family will receive friends at the Church of God of Prophecy in Brunswick, Georgia.
Mrs. White grew up in Brantley County and spent 36 years married to her first love, Fred Anderson before he passed away. She moved from Brunswick to Milledgeville for 10 years before marrying her second love, J.L. White in 1988. She moved to Ormond Beach, Florida where she spent 9 years. After Mr. White passed away, she moved back to Milledgeville. Mrs. White loved her children and grandchildren and cherished all of her family. She was a "Rosie Riveter" during the World War II era at the Brunswick Shipyard. Mrs. White was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Sterling, Georgia.
Mrs. White is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Herrin Knox Edgy; father, Wiley Everett Knox; sister, Joanna Riggins; and brother, Carroll Knox.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn A. (Baxter) Dunn of Milledgeville; son, Joel F. (Lynn) Anderson of Townsend; Grandsons, Blake (Lorea Sheffield) Dunn of Ivey, Andy (Anna) Dunn of Milledgeville, Joey (Sammi) Anderson of Washougal, WA; granddaughters, Minda (Miles) Sills of Madison; Katie (Joe) Zuko of Vancouver, WA; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
