IDA MAE JETT JORDAN DARLINGTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mae Jett Jordan of Darlington will be conducted 11:00AM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Darlington. Interment will follow in Florence National Cemetery directed by Jordan Funeral Home, Inc. of Darlington. Mrs. Jordan was born in Darlington, SC on July 12, 1941, to the late Sam and Nannie H. Jett. She entered into her final resting place peacefully, Wednesday, June 18, 2014. At an early age, she joined Bethel AME Church where she was a faithful member until the time of her earthly departure. While at Bethel, she sang on the Romeo Circle choir. She was a graduate of Mayo High School, class of 1960 where she was a great basketball player and the first female drum majorette. Ida also attended Allen University and Washington Institute. A lifetime beautician of Ida's Beauty Salon in Darlington, she was crowned Miss Cosmetology some years ago and was a member of the Odyssey Club. Survivors include: her 3 children, Pamela (Jeffrey) Lacy, Winston (Vita) Jordan, Jr., and Barbara Ann Stanley; her siblings, Viola Barnes, Castener (Willie) McDaniel, Alice Jett, Lonnie (Ann) Jett; her grandchildren, TyShanta Lewis, Travis (Kendra) Chavis , Rahgee Jordan, Ebony Jordan, LaShay Jordan, Makayla Jordan and Justin Jordan; and a host of other close relatives and friends. The family is receiving friends at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Willie and Castener McDaniel, 581 West John Paul Jones Road, Effingham
