He was the Mascot "Pistol Pete" from 1976 to 1978 for Oklahoma State University. A tradition his son, Derick, continued in 2009. Derick was married on Saturday, June 21, 2014 to Jill Duggar, daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. They are the family from the TLC television show "19 Kids & Counting". Derick and Jill's love story is like no other and I'm sure Mr. Dillard is very proud looking down from Heaven.

Mr. Dillard's Police uniform was displayed at the wedding of his son.
