Mitchell – Nancy Kay Anthony, 76, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, August 14 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell. Funeral service will be Monday, August 19 at 10:30 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Plankinton. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Stickney.
Nancy was born May 4, 1943 to Art and Bernice (Vetter) Branning in Manning, IA. She attended and graduated from AR-WE-VA High School in Westside, IA and AIB Business College in Des Moines, IA. She was united in marriage to Larry Anthony on September 16, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, IA. The couple lived in Carroll, IA where Nancy worked at Crouse Cartage Moving Co. for 25 years. In 1988, they moved to Stickney, SD to be closer to family. Nancy enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 2 children: Terry (Brenda) Anthony of Stickney and Tracie Anthony of Sioux Falls, SD; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Aaron, Makenzie and Bailey Anthony; 2 sisters: Carma (Chad) Popp of Mitchell and Peggy Lux of Churdan, IA; and a brother, Arden Branning of Carroll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; 2 sisters-in-law, Lois Stribe and Eloise Anthony; and a brother-in-law, Dick Anthony.
