F. J. Fackrell, For Many years a Resident of Clinton, Died Yesterday Morning-Sick Three Months.

Another old resident of Clinton passed away yesterday morning. F. J. Fackrell died at his home at 414 West Adams street at 6:30 Thursday morning, following an illness of about three months.

Deceased was born in London, England, in the year 1827. At the time of his death he had passed his 86th year. He came to America in 1848, first locating in Brooklyn, N. Y. He came to Clinton in 1872. While living in the East he and his father were engaged in the manufacture of wall paper. The first wall paper with a marble finish was made at their factories at Elizabeth and Newark, N. J. Mr. Fackrell was always in business for himself and since coming to Clinton had conducted a paper hanging and decorative establishment until four years ago when he was compelled to cease active work on account of his advanced age.

Deceased was twice married, the second wife, who before the marriage, was Miss Miriam Main [Maine], survives him. There were four children by the first marriage and six by the second. The living children are: Frank J. Fackrell, of Hickman, Cal.; H. Walter Fackrell, of Bellville [Belleville], N. J.; Mrs. H. C. Polhemus, of Chicago; Alfred L. Fackrell, of Chicago, and Mrs. N. H. Childs of of Decatur.

Mr. Fackrell was the last of a family of six children, five girls and one boy. The parents of Mr. Fackrell are buried in Woodlawn. The latter died about 26 years ago.

Mr. Fackrell was a church member almost his entire life, and for the past nine years had been a member of the Presbyterian church of this city.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Rev. E. K. Towle, pastor of the M. E. church of this city officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn.
