EDWARD M. MCHUGH, 81, of Haddon Township, formerly of Camden, died Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Camden.
Mr. McHugh was a 1931 graduate of Camden Catholic High School and a World War II Army veteran. He worked 41 years as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1978. He was active at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden and St. Vincent Pallotti Church in Haddon Township, where he was in charge of scheduling for the lector and eucharistic ministers. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and was active in the Camden Diocese Legion of Mary. Mr. McHugh played baseball from 1936 to 1950 and was one of the first inductees in the Camden County Fast Pitch Hall of Fame.
Survivors: his wife, Stella Dynakowski McHugh.
Services: funeral, 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Ave., Collingswood; Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. tomorrow, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, Hopkins Road, Haddon Township; burial, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
