Military honors will be rendered Sunday at the funeral of Arthur Westerberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Westerberg, of Grant Park.

The deceased was killed in action on the island of Luzon, Philippines, on Feb. 22, 1945. He enlisted in the service on April 20, 1942, and was a member of Co. C. 136th Infantry, 33rd division at the time of his death.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Glen H. Sims, pastor of the Grant Park Methodist church. All members of all veterans organizations in Grant Park and Momence and from this section will be present. Burial will be in Union Corners cemetery.

Born July 5, 1917, in Grant Park, the deceased was a son of Charles and Helena Weber Westerberg, both of whom survive. Others survivors are two brothers Howard of Beecher and Gilbert of Lowell, and one sister, Mrs. Marian Jefferson of Kankakee.

Mr. Westerberg was a graduate of Momence Community High School with the class of 1935. He was a member of the Grant Park Methodist church, the Churchman's league of the Evangelical and Reformed church at Kankakee, the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Gleaners lodge.
