Veronica M. Franklin age 100 of Eastlake, Michigan died Saturday,August 7, 2010 at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee.
She was bornJanuary 13, 1910 in Gillespie, Illinois and was the daughter of the late William and Antonette (Kuncaitis) Paulukaitis. Veronica married John(Bialochowski) Franklin in 1933 in Ludington, Michigan. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1963. Veronica enjoyed gardening, rock collecting,
fishing and deer hunting until her pacemaker surgery, thinking the gun recoil might affect her pacemaker signal.
She is survived by her daughter, Mae Jean Bond of Manistee, MI, and her son, John E. Franklin of Eastlake and Onekama, MI, three grandchildren Connie Hommer of Talkeetina, Alaska, Terri Gallegoes of Katy, Texas, and John (Rikki) Franklin of Ludington, MI, nine great grandchildren, Stephen,
Timothy, Rachel, Carmen, Mitchel, Garrison, Simone, Vicki and Wendy and by three great-great grandchildren Lilly, Bryce and Emmalee.
Veronica was also preceded in death by her grandson Edward Hommer, two sisters Sarah Paulukaitis and Leona Nankee and by her brother PeterPaulukaitis and by her son in-law Harvey Bond.

Mass from The Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated Wednesday,
August 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee
with Rev. Sylvestre Obwaka celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery also in Manistee.
