I have many fond memories of Maury. My first time ever meeting him was at the Community Theatre during rehearsals for "Big River." Watching him on stage was better than watching any of these big names on a movie screen. Maury didn't need computers and big explosions to make people watch. His stage presence alone could draw people in. He had a way of connecting with his fellow actors and the audience that many people lack. He could make a person's first time on a stage feel like they have been there forever.

Off stage he was equally amazing. He had a very large and generous heart. He was never shy with his hugs and was always ready with a quick joke to put a smile on a sad face.

Maury was a man who loved his friends, and who loved his family. Many hearts are broken today because we will no longer hear his voice, see his face, or watch him on stage.
