Alfred Lee Gamble 'Big A'

GALVESTON - Alfred Lee Gamble, 29, departed this life on Sunday, July 21, 2002, in Galveston. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2002, followed by a wake from 7-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of E.R. Johnson
Family Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, the Rev. Norris D. Burkley, Pastor and with the Rev. Nathaniel Brown, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Mr. Gamble was born December 28, 1972, in Galveston, Texas, to the union of Zeltee, Sr. and Maude Chambers Gamble. He was a self-employed painter-contractor, who was a well known, lovable person, dedicated to his family
and a caring father to his kids. He was also a 1991 graduate of Ball high School.

He is survived by his four sons, Elijah Gamble of New York, New York, Markise Coleman, Alfred Gamble and Malik Gamble, all of Galveston; parents, Zeltee and Maude A. Chambers Gamble; brothers, Jimmy Ray Burnside, Zeltee
Gamble, Jr. (Ella), Lawrence Gamble (Tina) and Jimmy Gamble (Linda); sisters, Elaine Gamble (Donald Ray) and Christina Gamble Thompson (Dwayne); special friend, Brandy Guidry and her little angel who is now resting
in the arms of Jesus, Thomas M. Grissom; devoted nephew, Dwayne Guidry; seven uncles; four aunts; devoted cousins, Kevin Chambers and Michael Hill; host of other relatives and friends.
