Bertie Bell Mallory, 78, a resident of Salida for 13 years, died yesterday in a Modesto hospital following an illness.
Mrs. Bell was the mother of Retha Jackson, Iva Jones, Lydia Stump, Lula Steeley, and Harry Brown, all of Modesto, Mina Manke of Salida, Albert Mallory of Los Angeles, Nealy Whittenburg, Golden Dimmitt and Elvins Mallory, all of Missouri; sister of Nealy Wilson of San Jose, Ella Hoover and Enos Norris, both of Missouri. She also leaves 59 grandchildren and 68 great grand children.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the First Christian Church of Antioch, Mo.
Services will be held at 3:30 PM tomorrow at the Shannon Chapel. Rev. W. R. Baird will officiate. Interment will be in Everton, Mo.
