The funeral services will be held at the family residence, 604 W. Thomas Street on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment at Stittville, N.Y.

Seymour J. Carrier Taken by Death at age of 74
Seymour J. Carrier, 74, died at this home, 604 W. Thomas Street, Wednesday night. He had been ill but a short time, death being caused by pneumonia.
Mr. Carrier was born in the town of Floyd, son of the late Seymour and Emeline Fox Carrier, and there he spent his earlier days. He was married on February 13, 1877, to Lucy Meyers of South Hill, town of Western, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Meyers, early settlers in that section.
Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Carrier and his wife journeyed to Mazepa, Minn, where they lived for over three years. The return trip with two children was made in a covered wagon. They made their home in Stittville, where they resided for seven years. Mr. Carrier had been a resident of Rome for the past 20 years coming here from Stittville.
He was employed during nearly all his residence here by the Rome Brass & Copper Company. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife and five children, Frank M. Carrier, Stittville; Mrs. Harry P. Lawton, Ansel Carrier, Mrs. Roy Anson and Stanley Carrier, all of Rome. There are also 16 grandchildren.
Mr. Carrier was the last of a family of seven children. Mr. and Mrs. Carrier celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last February.

SEYMOUR J. CARRIER
Funeral rites for Seymour J. Carrier were held this afternoon at his home, 604 W. Thomas Street, at 2 o'clock. Rev. C. F. Miller, pastor of the Calvary Methodist Church, conducted the services and Mrs. Edward S. Bronson sang, "God Will Take Care of You" and "Abide With Me."
There were many floral offerings testifying to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
Bearers were Frank Carrier, Ansel Carrier, Stanley Carrier, Royal Anson, Harry Lawton, and Herman Snyder. Interment was made at Stittville.
