Altoona Mirror, 19 February 1896:

"William Figart, adopted son of A.K. Figart of Frankstown, died in Pittsburgh yesterday morning of typhoid fever, aged 22 years. The remains were taken to Frankstown this morning, and the funeral will take place there tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock; interment in the Geeseytown cemetery."

Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, 26 February 1896:

"FRANKSTOWN - All that was mortal of William Figart was laid to rest in the Geeseytown cemetery on Thursday afternoon. He will be sadly missed, not only in the household where he was the joy and life, but among his comrades, where he was always ready to do a kind act for anyone. His just being in manhood makes it all the sadder."
