Henry is my 3 X Great Grandfather -C. 47360448

Henry Basham was born on April 22, 1832 [or 1834?] in Woodbury, Tennessee, the son of Jonathan Basham (1803–1885) and Elizabeth (McComb) Basham (1806–1886).

He was married on April 12, 1853 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to Martha Ann Warren (1833—), possibly the daughter of Arthur Warren (ca 1784- ). Her interment location is currently unknown.

During the 1860 and 1870 censuses, the family was in Cannon County, Tennessee; in 1880 the family was in Kings River, Madison County, Arkansas.

Although Henry Bassham has been listed in Civil War Records as a Confederate Soldier, other family historians are not so certain on which side he fought Union vs Confederate.

Henry died of Brights disease on May 20, 1905 in Clarksville, Tennessee at the home of his daughter Mrs. M J Price, and burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
