He was 62 years old and a resident of Chapel Hill, Tennessee when he died on June 14, 2014 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville from complications of a rare lung disease.
Survivors included his wife, two daughters, a married sister, two nephews and other family members.
Burial was in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
