Josephine R. (Battista) Kosierowsky, 92, of Ross, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in UPMC Passavant, McCandless. She was born in Pittsburgh, to the late Gaetano and Angeline (Morgano) Battista. Mrs. Kosierowsky and her husband, Joseph, owned J&J Shoe Store in Slippery Rock, and she worked in the insurance industry. Josephine enjoyed dancing and playing bingo and the slots. Most of all, she loved her grandkids. She is survived by her son, Ray (Pat) Neuhart, of Ross; daughter, Gloria (William) Miller, of Evans City; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Margie Banazewski; and dear friend, Fran Dugan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kosierowsky; and her siblings, Carlo Battista, Katharine Barleman, Carmelia Mason and Angie O'Toole.
