Glennis Ardena Atkinson was born to William I. and Elsie Atkinson in Quail Texas. Glennis had three brothers and three sisters. She met and married James Floyd Daves in Magnum Oklahoma in 1931. To this union were born seven sons and five daughters. Glennis and Floyd moved to Colorado in 1937. In 1977 at the age of 63 Glennis received an Honorary High School diploma from the Dolores County High School in Dove Creek Colorado. She loved to cook,can,sew,garden and grow flowers. Mom was always our rock. She was there for us in sickness and in health. She was our friend, companion and guide. She was a Mom to others who came to our house to eat, have a home away from home or just needed a Mom. She is featured in our Hall of Fame for Mama's. We love you Mom.
