Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Jewel Mosley, of East Dublin, will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Pullen A.M.E. Church at 1304 Lakeway Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Ted Walters will officiate.

Mrs. Mosley, who passed on June 10, was born on July 28, 1933, to the late Willie D. and Carrie Bell Jones in Wrightsville, Georgia. She marrried to the late S. L. Mosley. She was employed by JP Stevens/Forstman Textile Company for twenty-five years before retiring in 2002.

She accepted Christ at an early age where she was a member of Brown Chapel Church in Dublin, Georgia. She attended school and later became a member of Mount Pullen A.M.E. Church where she also sang in the choir. She enjoyed walking, fishing, shopping, and traveling. Her travels took her to Washington, D.C., Kansas, Virginia, Illinois, New York and several countries in Europe, including the cities of Frankfort Germany, Paris France, Saltsburg Austria and the country of Liechtenstein. Her favorite vacation spot was Garmisch Partenkirchen in the Bavarian part of Germany. She also visited the Chapel in the Rocks, a church carved into the side of a mountain in Idar-Oberstein Germany.

Her passions were cooking and presenting large family meals especially during holidays. They were enjoyed by both family and friends…so much so that some of her Grandchildren turned down a visit to Disney World just to get to Grandmama's House. She also loved sharing her photographs and experiences she had during her travels. She always extended herself to help relatives, friends and anyone needing assistance.

Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by her son, Larry, her father, Willie D. Jones, her mother, Carrie B. Jones, her brother James L. Jones and later her sister Linnie Wells. Loving survivors include: her daughter Doris (Jerome) Johnson of Manassas, Virginia; sons and daughter-laws are as follows; Lamar (Margaret) Mosley of Dublin, Georgia, Lachaun (Robbie) Mosley of Riverdale, Georgia, Ronald Mosley of Dublin, Georgia, James Mosley of Dublin, Georgia; daughters-law; Dorothy Montford-Mosley, Kimberly Fletcher-Mosley; sisters; Mary Grace Coneway of Dublin, Georgia, Minnie Hodges of Dublin, Georgia, and brother Aaron (Janet) Jones of Utica, New York; sister-law Mazell Jones of Dublin, Georgia. Host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 813 Frog Level Circle in East Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Monday, 6-7 pm. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service .
