Rolland B. Bradley was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1928. During his six year term in the house, he coauthored the first Texas drivers license law, minimum hour wage law for women and the law that established the Texas Department of Welfare and Aid to Dependent Children.
He practice law in Houston for forty years and in 1958 ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Congress.
