Ann Ida Hill, 97, of Gatesville, died Wednesday, Sept. 16 in a local nursing home.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Rose officiating.
Burial followed in the Ater Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill was born Sept. 27, 1900 in Schulenberg. She was the daughter of the late Steve and Carolyn Schlinder. She was reared and attended school in Marlin. She married Jesse Rawls Hill on May 29, 1944 in Marlin. They moved to Gatesville in 1951 from Jayton. She and her husband ran the Hills Grocery in Gatesville for 20 years. Mr. Hill preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1980.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Schlinder of Irving. (GM 19 Sep 1998)
