Daughter of John Bilbo (8 May 1806-22 May 1845) and wife Jane Ann Stevenson (2 Dec 1811-before 1850) from Claiborne Parish, Louisiana who were both deceased by 1854. Sarah Ann Elizabeth Bilbo married first March 24, 1851 in Union Co Arkansas, Major James Thomas Dyer, a much older gentleman and the guardian of her and her two sisters after their parents death. They were married in Arkansas by her uncle, Rev James Porter Stevenson. James Dyer was not unknown to her. He was a relative. He was the widower of her mother's (Jane Ann Stevenson) sister Mary 'Polly' (Stevenson) Dyer. An uncle by marriage.

The couple James Dyer and Sarah Ann Elizabeth (Bilbo) Dyer left Louisiana and moved to Hill County, Texas in the early 1860's. They had six sons before his death Aug 26, 1872 in Hill Co TX.

The sons from her first marriage to James Dyer were:
William S. Dyer born 1852
James Olin Dyer born July 8, 1855 d. 8 Oct 1920 Hill Co TX
John Caldwell Calhoun Dyer b. Aug 6, 1859 d. 1951
Stonewall Jackson Dyer b. 1862
Charles Andrew Dyer b. Jan 11, 1864 d. 11 Sept 1939
Benjamin Franklin Dyer b. Aug 23, 1869 d. 14 Feb 1956

She married 2nd on 26 Oct 1876 to Daniel Coker Dyer (the son of Abraham Dyer). At the time he was a widower having lost his first wife Frances 'Fannie' Heath on 7 Feb 1875. This 2nd marriage produced no children and they divorced. Each remarried. Daniel Coker Dyer went on to marry 3rd Margaret Cason, and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Bilbo married third in 1883, Andrew Jackson Pierce (1815-1892), another elderly widower. This third marriage did not produce children. He died May 20, 1892 and was buried in Cleburne, Johnson County, TX. His first wife had been Nancy Abercrombie Pierce (1820-1878).

Her fourth and last marriage was to Dr. Andrew Jackson Dyer in 1892. He had first married in 1853, Eva Toamer who died Jan 11 1892. (This date in newspaper article although other researchers say he and Sarah (Bilbo) (Dyer) Pearce married Apr 8, 1894 in Hill Co TX.) He was born Jan 13, 1831 in Smith County TN. He served in Co 14, Mounted Rifles under Capt R.P. Parkes, CSA as an army surgeon. An old newspaper interview with her stated that she credited Dr. A.J. Dyer with saving her life from 'brain fever' when everyone else had given up on her. No issue from this marriage. It was a third marriage for him. He died March 14, 1912 Hill Co. TX. Sarah completed a 'Widows Application for a Pension Nov 1913 and started drawing his pension March 1, 1914. It stated Dr. Andrew Jackson Dyer had served June 9, 1861 to close of war 1865 and was a member of Co H, 1st Ark. Mounted Rifles, later transferred to Medical Department. Unit: Cavalary.

The mortuary warrant signed by her son James Olin Dyer stated she was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hill Co. TX.
