Mr. Donnie Lee Tucker, 61, of Lake City, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley following a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Nashville, Georgia, Mr. Tucker had been a resident of Lake City for the past twelve years having moved here from Georgia. Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the United States Army having served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Tucker had been employed as a truck driver prior to his ill health. In his spare time, Mr. Tucker enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Pearl Tucker and his daughters, Christina Hawkins and Chelsea Tucker all of Lake City.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the chapel of the Haven Hospice of the Suwannee Valley with Chaplain Lynwood Walters officiating. Mr. Tucker was buried in the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Arrangements are under the direction of the
