Mr. Murell "Cheyenne" Anderson, age 79 of Conyers, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Bertie Anderson; brother, Claude Anderson; and sister, Loudell White. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Anderson, Conyers; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Jackie Anderson, Covington, Jeff and Merry Anderson, Social Circle; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Perkins, Manakin-Sabot, VA; sister, Vernell Batey, Colonial Heights, VA; grandchildren, Robby Anderson, Matt Anderson, Tyler Perkins, Megan Perkins, Caroline Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Madaline Anderson, Duncan Anderson, Colton Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of Heritage Hills Baptist Church and the UAW Local. He was known for helping people and didn't know what the word "can't" meant.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Dr. Doug Ferguson officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday, June 20, 2014 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
