Carolyn Josephine Faulkner, 73, of Ardmore, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church of Ardmore. Services under the direction of the family.
Carolyn was born on March 20, 1941, to Henry Jesse Lee and Anne Caroline (Bryant) Lee at Ardmore. She graduated with the Class of 1958 at Ardmore High School. Carolyn married James Albert "Butch" Faulkner on April 29, 1974, at Gainesville, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for Faulkner Auto Repair from 1987 until 2001, and owned and operated Broadway Hotel until 2005. She enjoyed toning at Shake and Bake, Tan and Tone, in Ardmore. Carolyn loved being a homemaker, keeping her grandchildren and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lee and Anne Caroline Cornelison; husband Butch Faulkner; son Stephen Pelton; sister Anna Louise Shockley; and brother Clifford Jesse Lee.
Carolyn is survived by her five children, daughter Pam Layton of Ardmore, son, James Pelton of Gladewater, Texas, daughter Carol Michele Watkins of Ardmore, daughter Page Nicole "Coley" Pelton of Ardmore and son Kevin Brent Faulkner and wife Angie of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Dustin Kidd, Kimberly Kidd, Ashley Chance, Kayla Faulkner, Hali Layton, Kaden Henry, Christopher Wall II, Jonathan Wall, Reva Blalock and Joseph Schuppan; four great-grandchildren; sister Anita Cornelison of Ardmore; lifelong friend and neighbor Ina Mize; friend Barbara Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as honorary bearers will be Steven Watkins, Ricky Mize, William Lee, Utah Shockley, Willie Jagers, Albert Lee Simmons, Dustin Kidd and Buddy Watkins.
