SCOTT, Jerome James Sr. "Pop" age 70, of Tampa, passed away on June 13, 2014. Funeral service for Mr. Jerome James "Pop" Scott Sr. who will be held on Saturday, June 21, 10 am at Glory To Glory Ministries, 8717 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace, Prophet Aubrey Shines, Pastor with Rev. Otis B. Cooper II, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa. He leaves to mourn his passing wife, Johnnie Lee Scott; 7 children, Jerome (Lovonia) Scott Jr., Matthew, James (from a previous marriage), Krista (Tyrone) Lee, Greg (Doris) Lee, Jerrold Scott and fiancé, LaTania and Lillian Scott; 7 grands; 3 great- grands; three siblings; aunt, Helen Shaw; mother-law, Geneva Lee, Bill Lee; brother-in law, Ira T. Lee; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Born and raised in Tampa, Jerome grew up in the West Tampa area. He was united in holy matrimony to Johnnie Lee Scott after a year of courting. He was a former employee of Eagle Roofing and City Of Tampa where he was employed for 27 years prior to his retirement in the Storm water Operation Department. There will be a viewing on Friday, June 20, from 59 pm, at Wilson Funeral Home, the family will receive friends from 5-6 pm, in the chapel. Friends are asked to assemble at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco Ave., Tampa, Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Paster with Rev. Otis B. Cooper II, officiating, at approximately 9:45 am, Saturday for the service. Wilson FH
