Angelina (Angie) Martinez, 59, resident of Salinas, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She was born on July 18, 1954 in Salinas.
Angie worked as a counselor for the Second Chance Youth Program, Unity Care Group and took part in youth intervention at El Sausal Middle School. Her heart lied with the youth and was a devoted member at Soldiers for Christ Church and Victory Outreach Church.
She is survived by her husband Mario Martinez; her children, Jesse Rodriguez and Vanessa Michelle (Shelly) Drake; seven grand-children; twelve brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Alta Vista Mortuary, 41 East Alisal Street, Salinas, CA 93901
Celebration of Life will be held 7:00pm on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Victory Outreach Church, 155 Bardin Road, Salinas, CA 93905
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am Friday, June 20, 2014 at Victory Outreach Church, 155 Bardin Road, Salinas, CA 93905
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA 93901
