Funeral Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Pastor Jut Daron officiated.
Walter was the son of Charles R. and Barbara E. (Hastings) Case. He married Beulah Ellen Campbell on April 18, 1941 in St. Louis; MI.
Walt proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII, in the 158th regimental combat team in the South Pacific Theatre.
Walt was a long time area resident of St. Louis. He was a member of Twin Cities Seventh Day Adventist Church in Alma.
Walt retired from Local Union 85 out of Saginaw, and worked at Michigan Chemical for several years. He served actively on the St. Louis Fire Dept. for 50 years.
Walt enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and working on his Model T's. He loved spending time with his family, and always willing to help anyone in need unconditionally. He was also a prankster who loved a good joke. He liked spending time at his cabin in Leota relaxing.
Walt is survived by his 4 children; Gary and Fran Case of St. Louis, MI, Dennis and Becky Case of Sumner, MI, Michael Case of Alma, MI, Nancy and Doug Smith of St. Louis, MI, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and sister Frances and Dick Ingersoll of Riverdale, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beulah, grandson Richard Case, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.
