Donna C. Higgins, 92, went to be with her Lord on February 3, 2014. A Memorial Service was held on March 24, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Heather Gardens Sandberg Auditorium, 2888 S. Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO 80014. She loved her family and friends and tried to remain involved with their lives whenever possible. She loved her Heather Gardens church family and never wanted to miss a service.
Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Marvin Higgins of Aurora, daughter Janice and husband Duane Leopard of Loveland, Colorado, son Lynn Higgins and wife Jane of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, one brother Keith Johnston and wife, Clarine of Cedaredge, Colorado, and one sister, Fern Hultquist of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, four grandchildren, Brad Leopard of Loveland, Colorado, Shelley Leopard of Denver, Colorado, Zach Pedersen of Denver, Colorado and Katie Higgins of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nellie Johnston, three brothers, Byron Johnston, Tommy Johnston, and Dale Johnston, and two sisters, Bonnie Minton and infant sister, Mildred Johnston.
Inurnment was held in the Eckley Cemetery, Monday, June 16 with Pastor Dave McQuisten officiating. Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
