Jennie Rachel Bell
1943-2014
Jerome-Jennie Rachel Bell, 70, of Jerome, passed away Saturday, June 14th, 2014, at the River Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Twin Falls Idaho, with her loving husband and best friend Bob and her family at her side. She fought a short but courageous battle with recurrent breast cancer.
Jennie was born September 1st, 1943, in Lompoc California, to Agapito Jay Armenta and Alfonsa Frances Armenta. Jennie was an award winning hair dresser in Great Falls Montana and also worked in Burley, Boise, and Jerome, with many loyal clients, who would travel long distances for her services. Jennie was also a very devout Catholic, who was very active with the church including serving as a lector, singing on the choir, and also aided in taking care of numerous people and family members needing care. She was an avid photographer and outdoor enthusiast.
She was previously married to Duane Espinosa where they had two sons, Dennis and Damian. They were later divorced. She married Robert (Bob) Bell, February 19th, 1988, in Las Vegas Nevada. Jennie was preceded in death, by her brother, Mike Armenta, and her parents, Agapito and Alfonsa.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Bob of Jerome; her two sons, Dennis and Damian; her brothers Rodger (Becky) Armenta; Rudy (Sandi) Armenta; and Charlie Armenta; her sisters Maryann (Keith) Jibson and Rosie (Al) Menasco. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Jennie is now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.
Jennie's life will be celebrated at 6PM, Thursday, 19 June 2014 at Bowman Funeral Parlor, 5525 North Glenwood Street, Garden City, Idaho 83714. On Friday, 20 June 2014, a funeral service and viewing will be held at Saint Mary's Church, in Boise Idaho, starting at 11 AM with a reception, followed by a viewing at 12 PM, a funeral mass at 1 PM and an internment ceremony at 3 PM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery located just north of Hill Road and East of Horseshoe Bend.
