WEBB CITY, Mo. — Eugene L. Cook, 70, 324 N. Tom St., died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at a local nursing home after a long illness.

Mr. Cook was born June 22, 1920, at Goodman. He had lived in the Webb City area most of his life. Before retiring in 1983, he worked in the maintenance department of King Press, Joplin. He was a member of First Christian Church, Quapaw, Okla.

He married Ruth Isgrigg on April 5, 1959, at Miami, Okla. She survives.

Additional survivors include five sons, Chris Cook, Miami, Okla., Shawn Cook, Tulsa, Okla., Patrick Cook, Mission Viejo, Calif., and Larry Cook and Danny Cook, both of the state of California; four daughters, Laura Roderique, Webb City, Patricia Roderique, Fort Louis, Wash., and Terry Cook and Robin Cook, both of the state of California; a brother, Paul W. Cook, Quapaw; a sister, Mary Cook, Joplin; 19 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The body will be cremated. No services are planned.

The family will be at the home of Chris Cook, 823 O St. N.W.

Arrangements are under direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
