Estelle Horton, 77 of Crane, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in the Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Crane with Reverend Lyndel Lee and Reverend Clyde Womack officiating. Burial will follow in the Crane County Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Estelle was born on April 14, 1928 in Norton, Texas. She was a longtime Crane resident, a homemaker, and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years in Crane, and currently a member of the Highland Baptist Church of El Reno, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joe Earl Horton on June 29, 2004; a son, Norman Horton in 1985; her sister, Florene Lancaster on July 17, 2005; her brothers, J.T. Lancaster & Robert Cecil Lancaster; and her parents, Johnny William and Flora Lancaster.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Noland and her husband Gary of El Reno, OK, and Judy Powell and husband James Sr. of Holland, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren, Lisa Galloway, Veronica Schmidt, Kim Powell, Norman Horton, Jr., Joanna Womack, James Powell, Jr., Shane Norton, and Brandy Briley; 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; a sister, Lorene Kennedy of Odessa.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Poole, Buddy Poole, Brandon Galloway, James Galloway, Corey Woodcock, and Shorty Schmidt.
