Funeral services for J.W. Langston, 73, of Guy were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville. The Rev. Bluford Weikel officiated, with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Langston died Thursday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. He was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Cottonwood to Alice and Walter J. Langston. He was a cattle rancher.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Langston of Guy; a son, Wayne Langston of Guy; two brothers and their wives, Hillyer and Norma Langston and Walter and Judy Langston, all of Angelton; three sisters: Thelma Jones and her husband David of Alvin, Janice Amorson of Edna, and Helen Vance and her husand Ferdie of Angelton; and his mother-in-law, Annie Bosak.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Association, 8550 Fannin, Suite 1801, Houston, 77030; or to the First Methodist Church in Needville.

Services were under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.
