GALION: DENNIS ANTHONY "TONY" REEVES, 60, of Galion, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Morrow County Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born April 18, 1954 in Bloomington, Illinois, he was the son of the late Park Reeves and Eileen (Dalton) Reeves.

Tony moved to Galion in 1963 from Bloomington, Illinois and graduated from Galion High School in 1973. He was extremely well-liked by his many friends and loved by his close family. Tony was a disc jockey and radio personality at area radio stations and was known as "Dr. T". He had his own radio show and was known for his music trivia. He played guitar and sang and played in various bands over the years. Most recently Tony was the administrator of Galion Moose Lodge 303. Tony enjoyed camping and was a long-time member of Galion Moose Lodge, Galion Elk's Lodge 1191 and Knights of Columbus St. Francis Council 1234.

He is survived by his mother, Eileen (Dalton) Reeves of Galion; his long-time companion, Barbara J. Young and her two sons, Matthew and Daniel Eaton, all of Galion; Barb's grandson, whom Tony considered his own, Shaye Eaton; brothers and sisters, David (Kathryn) Reeves of Galion, Douglas "Mike" Reeves of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Debra (James) Robinson of Speedway, Indiana, Dawn (Al) Brush of Merritt Island, Florida, Diana (Tom) Clevenger of Galion and Daniel Reeves of Galion and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and very close cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Park Reeves and a nephew, David Alan Reeves.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 S. Market Street, Galion. A vigil service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home led by Deacon Greg Kirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion with Father John Miller, celebrant and Deacon Greg Kirk. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to Avita Hospital Foundation to Benefit the Galion Orthopedic Center Physical Therapy Department, which was a very important part of Tony's life in care of Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel.
