Verna E. Hart, 99, Stevens Point, formerly of Waupaca, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, with the Rev. Amalraj Roche officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.

A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. Hart was born July 21, 1914, in East Bristol, Wis., a daughter of the late William and Laura (Fox) Damm.

She was married to Edward J. Hart Aug. 27, 1936, in East Bristol. He died Dec. 19, 1998.

She had been a school teacher. She also was a dietitian at Bethany Home and Crystal River Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca.

Survivors include seven children, Jane (Bernard) Curvey, Taylorville, Ill., Laura Hart, Iowa City, Iowa, Sister Ann Mary Hart, Yuma, Ariz., Susan Jolin and John (Caroyl) Hart, both of Waupaca, Dennis Hart, Ogdensburg, and Kathleen (Randy) Graham, Afton, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Cormican; and one brother, Willis Damm.
