Laura Ettie Mink was born in Gooding, Idaho on March 25, 1924 to Hiram and Ettie Mink. She was the eighth child of nine children born, and had six brothers and three sisters.
She married Walter W. McCabe on April 7, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. She was a farmer's wife and Mother to her five children all her life. She and Walter managed the farm and dairy after dad's death. She loved going to Jackpot, making dolls, and growing flowers.
She was a beautiful, strong, stubborn woman, with fierce determination and she encouraged all her children and grandchildren to graduate from high school. She was proud that she was able to get her high school diploma. She always said "finish what you start and do your very best."
She was proud of all her children and grandchildren's accomplishments and achievements. She always tried to make her sons and daughtesr-in-law feel welcome.
Walter and Jordana were wonderful in the care they have given to my mother these past years.
A Private Family only viewing will be held Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 for all family members.
