Robert S. Ickes, 80, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of 2940 Meadowbrook Circle, Allentown, died April 19, 2005 in his home. He was the husband of Mary (Hand) Ickes and the late Helen L. (Smith) Ickes. He was a manager for many years for the former AT&T, Allentown, until retiring in 1984. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Samuel and Pearl (Gilson) Ickes. He was a former member of Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. He was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a bachelors degree in electrical engineering. He was very active with the Boys and Girls Club, Allentown..
He is survived by his Wife; sons, stepsons, sisters, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas R. Ickes.
