Mrs. CATHERINE AMANDA HOCKMAN died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara H. Karns, 266 South Potomac Street, yesterday, aged 82 years. She was the daughter of the late George Washington and Amanda (Thompson) Duke. Born and reared in Front Royal, Va., she had been a resident here for the last 45 years.
Surviving are husband, Jonas L. Hockman; daughter, Mrs. Edgar L. Karns, Hagerstown; sister, Mrs. Rose H. Cole, Martinsburg; brother, Ambrose L. Duke, Martinsburg; five grandsons; two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the W.T. Norment Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
