Otha I. Foshie Carter

Died: June 13, 2014

Otha I. Foshie Carter, 89, of Carpenters Chapel Road, Mosheim, died Friday at Laughlin Health Care Center.

She had worked at the former Southern Electronics plant and in later years was a caregiver.

She was a member of Willoughby Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a niece: Nancy Fortner and her husband, Jerry, who were her caregivers; several other nieces and nephews; and a childhood and longtime friend: Ona Clemmer.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah Foshie and was the widow of Coy Carter. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: L.C. Foshie, Willis Foshie and Robert Foshie; and two sisters: Cora Belle Foshie and Mae Haun.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.

The Rev. Richard Snowden will officiate.

Interment will be in Willoughby Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Carpenter, Jimmy Hill, Charles Clowers, George Clemmer, Bryan Jones and Brayden Jones.
