She was active in Cub Scouts, Thornton Elementary School and taking care of family and friends.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by a son, Mark Wheeler.
She is survived by her husband, Marcus Wheeler of Thornton; three children, a sister, Veryl Satterwhite; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
