Albion was one of a family of ten children born to Cornelius and Emeline Gladfelter. In his early childhood he came with his parents and the family to Iowa; after several years, the family returned to Pennsylvania, but Albion remained here and made his home in this state, living in Tipton since 1917.

He was united in marriage to Sadie Jane Schell on August 25th. Albion was a member of the Free Will Baptist church at Mt. Zion and later a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Tipton.

He was survived by his two daughters, Stella Baughman and Helen Fulwider; two sons, LeRoy Gladfelter and Ralph Gladfelter; five grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers.
