Simeon Sampson Hathaway, 86, died Sunday, December 13, 1987 at a hospital in Smithville, MO.
He was born in Grant City, MO and had lived in Plattsburg since 1946.
Mr. Hathaway was a bookkeeper for Long's Farm Supply until retiring in 1970. He also had owned and operated a grocery store in Winston, MO, from 1935 to 1945.
He was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1959.
He married the former Beulah Mae Bryan in January 1934. She survives him of the home.
Additional survivors are a son, Robert, Unionville, MO; a daughter, Mary E. McClelland, Plattsburg; a brother, Leland, Spickard, MO; three sisters, Lorraine Hatfield, Arel Long and Chloris Lutes all of Grant City, MO; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cox Funeral Home in Plattsburg. Burial will be at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Plattsburg.
