BRISTOL — Carol A. Terry, 68, of Bristol, passed away Sunday, July 4, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.
She was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Aurora, the daughter of John and Olivia (Schuring) Norris. Carol was united in marriage to Mr. Randall "Gene" Terry on Nov. 26, 1960, in Ottawa, and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary later this year.
She was formerly employed at the Fox Valley Shopper in Yorkville. Mrs. Terry was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville. Carol enjoyed sewing for herself and her family. What she enjoyed most was caring for her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin who will be deeply missed by both her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Terry of Yorkville; her children, Karen Fisher of Littleton, Colo., Pamela (Michael) Barz of Lily Lake, Ill., and Lori (Thomas) Kratzer of Newark; her grandchildren, Cheryl Robbins of Miami, Okla., Michelle Mohn of Lily Lake and Kenneth and Jonathon Kratzer, both of Newark; her mother, Olivia Norris of Yorkville; her brother, Neil Norris of Yorkville; her sister, Teresa (Howard "Mike") Shick of Bristol; also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Norris; her daughter, Susan Robbins; and one nephew.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville. Friends may visit from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
