Deaths.
We have to record the death on the 13th May, at Harnden near Sandwich, in the 84th year of his age, Henry Wise Harvey Esq., a most enthusiastic admirer of the British Navy, to which the different branches of his family have rendered very emminent service. He was himself always a person of the strictest integrity and most perfect independence of character. He was the eldest, amongst other very worthy sons, of the late Captain John Harvey, the heroic commander of the Brunswick in the memorable battle on the 1st June 1794, in which he was mortally wounded, and whose conduct on that great day obtained for him a record in Westminster Abbey.
Mr Harvey was the brother of the late Admiral Sir John Harvey K.C.B., and of the present Rear Admiral Edward Harvey. He was the nephew of the late Rear Admiral Sir Henry Harvey, K.B., and brother in law of the late Vice Admiral Sit Thomas Harvey, K.C.B.
He was the father of Commander John Harvey and Lieutenant Henry Wise Harvey, and father in law of Captain George Hilton-all officers in the Royal Navy.
