MISHAWAKA — W. Jean Easton, 85, of Mishawaka, went home to be with the Lord early in the morning Saturday, June 14, following a brief illness.

Jean was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Coalmont to the late Walter and Ethel (Marvel) Bickel.

Easton (Photo Supplied / The Elkhart Truth)On March 2, 1946, she married George Easton Jr., in Coalmont. He preceded her in death, passing away in November 2010.

Surviving are her son, Dennis (Marilyn) Easton of Mishawaka, and eight grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Nathan, Judah, Genny, Joel, Jessica and Julie. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Aurora, Gus, Kristopher, Chloe, Gaege and Kaedyn Wachs.

Jean was preceded in death by her son, George Terrell "Terry" Easton in 2009, and her brother, Kenneth Dale Bickel, in 2000.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, June 18, at Chapel Hill. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
