HEREFORD - Services for Oyd Levern Ellerd, 71, of Hereford will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Church of Christ in Hereford with Tom Bailey, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Gilliland-Watson Funeral Home.

He died Thursday, June 23, 2000, at Hereford.

He was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Lakeview. He married Loretta Vernon on Nov. 5, 1945, in Olton. He came to Deaf Smith County in 1948 from Portales, N.M. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Hereford and was an auto mechanic and TV repairman. He owned and operated City Television in Hereford for many years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Alvin of Amarillo; two daughters, Cynthia Francis of Amarillo and Kathy Morris of Clovis, N.M.; three sisters, Ruby Wright of Clovis, Olethia Joyce of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Marie Fisher of Salem, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren
