KERRVILLE - Mr. Eugene Charles "Charley" Luckenbach, age 70, of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1998, at his residence. He was born July 12, 1927, in Fredericksburg, Texas, and had been a Kerrville resident for three years, formerly residing in San Lorenzo, Calif. He was a retired purchasing agent for Dillingham Corp. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors are ex-wife and friend, Thelma Louise Luckenbach of Fremont, Calif; two daughters, Linda Santillan and husband, Rogelio, of Fremont, Calif., and Deborah Rose of San Lorenzo, Ca.; son, Eugene Charles Luckenbach Jr. and family of Kerrville; four sisters, Betty Bernhard, Helen Nelson and Vivian Kneip, all of Kerrville and Lillian Peese of Fredericksburg; brother, James Luckenbach of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Nathan Rose, Olivia, Javier and Eugene Santillan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A prayer service will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at 7 p.m., at Grimes Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. Sharon Davidson officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, at 1:30 p.m., at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg with the Rev. Sharon Davidson officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
