Helen Mae Marionneaux Allemond passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Azalea Estates Assisted Living in Gonzales at the age of 86, and was a native of Plaquemine, La.

Visiting will be at First United Methodist Church, Plaquemine on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 9am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Dutch Price and Rev. Weldon Bares. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Allemond and wife Cheryl and Lance Allemond;

grandchildren, Joey Wilbert LeBlanc and husband Tommy, Jason Allemond and wife Amy, Layne Allemond Brown and husband Robert, Cayce Allemond, Ashley Allemond Brown and husband Aaron, Matthew Allemond and wife Danielle; great grandchildren, Mason and Clay LeBlanc, Emma, Logan and Amelia Allemond, Jacob and Madison Brown;

sister, Lois Cowart; brother, Gene Marionneaux and wife Iris; son in law, S. J. "Bronco" Wilbert and sister in law, Ruby Marionneaux.

Preceded in death by her husband, Antoine "Blackie" Allemond; daughter, Phyllis Allemond Wilbert; granddaughter, Daphne Wilbert Deslatte; parents, John Philo and Barbara Repp Marionneaux; her twin sister, Betty Rae Marionneaux Bradford; and brother, Charles Philo Marionneaux.

Pallbearers will be Jason Allemond, Robert Brown, Tommy and Mason LeBlanc, Cayce and Matthew Allemond.

Honorary Pallbearer will be S. J. "Bronco" Wilbert.

She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Plaquemine and its longest living member. She was also a member of the Plaquemine Garden Club. Her joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Special thanks to the staff at Azalea Estates, her caregivers Rosa Hall and Betty Pekins, and her long time physician Dr. Harold Brandt for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, Plaquemine. Wilbert Services Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
